Class 9

Over the weekend I worked on getting the string lights back in the shot. I was a bit worried that I wouldn't be able to get them back but with some roto and grade nodes I was able to get them back in looking almost the same.

After adding in the lights there was a highlight on the top side of the scad sign that just didn't look right so I painted it out. I think it looks a lot better but I will definitely check with my team to see what they think.

Then lastly I added a small glow to the signs to make them pop a bit more but I didn't want to add too much because It started to look a bit fake.

Finally I tracked the sky in I might go back to it because it seems a bit off because the only way the track would work was if I put down a frame hold node and made the sky still and moved it myself with a transform node.

Then for the other shot I tried to add in another boat but I decided not to do it because I was having a hard time making it look as real and the other boat you can see below and I just don't think I would be able to make it fit.

However I did add a scale down to the boat as it starts driving it is a small adjustment because when it was a big difference it started to look weird. I will have to ask my teammates what they think of the scaling to see if it looks natural or if I should make the number smaller.

However because the other boat didn't work out I did want to add something else to the shot so I decided to add a building and I may add some birds later as well! I does look a bit out of place and I am not sure how much of the perspective I would able to change with the building still looking realistic so I will see if that is necessary. I may just stick with some birds maybe a duck in the water.
